Installing and first run
The setup guide covers installing the strategy, the settings to use and what each message in the Output window means. Most first-run problems are a missing licence key or too little history loaded (Days to load should be 150).
Where is my licence key?
Sign in at whop.com, open bobthebot and click Software in the sidebar. Copy it into the strategy's Licence key setting.
Moving to a new computer or VPS
A licence runs on one computer at a time. It moves to a new computer by itself once it has been on the old one for 7 days. To move it sooner, email us.
Phone alerts
Alerts are sent on weekdays between 08:30 and 16:15 New York time, when the bot should be watching the market. If none arrive, check that the topic in the ntfy app matches the strategy's Phone alert topic setting exactly, and that the Output window shows PHONE ALERTS: on.
The strategy switched itself off
NinjaTrader switches strategies off when the broker connection is down for too long. The bot reconnects the connection itself once NinjaTrader gives up retrying, but you need to tick Enabled again in the Strategies tab. Open trades keep their stop at your broker meanwhile.
Updates and contract rollover
When we release an update, we email you and the new file appears in Whop under Files. Import it the same way as the first time. Each quarter, when NinjaTrader moves MNQ to the next contract, disable the strategy while it is flat, switch the instrument and enable it again.
Prop firm rules
We cannot confirm what your firm allows, and rules change often. Ask your firm in writing whether a purchased automated strategy is allowed on both evaluation and funded accounts. We are happy to help you set Bob's risk per trade and daily loss limit to fit your firm's drawdown.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancel any time in your Whop account. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered in section 10 of the terms of use.
