Bob the Bot

An automated Micro Nasdaq strategy that trades your evaluation inside the trailing drawdown. A few trades a week, the same dollar risk each time, flat before the close.

PROFIT TARGET $53,000 $48k$50k$53kJunJulAugSep TRAILING DRAWDOWN PASSED · DAY 119
One evaluation from the replay, chosen because it took the median time to pass. The red line is the end-of-day trailing drawdown, which stops at $50,100.

Check your firm's rules before you buy

Many prop firms do not allow several traders to run the same purchased strategy, and some ban fully automated trading on funded accounts. Because Bob places the same trades for everyone who runs it, a firm may treat that as group trading and review or close the account.

Ask your firm in writing whether a purchased automated strategy is allowed on both evaluation and funded accounts. We cannot guarantee that any firm will accept it.

The rules that end most evaluations

Built around your drawdown

Trailing drawdown

Ten losses of room

Risk per trade is set in dollars so your drawdown covers about ten full losing trades. The longest losing run in testing was eleven trades, and most of those losses were partial.

Daily loss limit

Stops before your firm does

Bob has its own daily loss limit, set below your firm's: $800 on a 50K account where the firm allows $1,000. Once the day's losses reach it, Bob takes no new trades until the next day.

End of day

Flat by 16:00 ET

No new trades after 15:00 New York and every position closed by 16:00, so no open trade is counted in your end-of-day balance.

The target is 15 times the risk per trade, so expect about 55 trades to get there.

How we simulated it: a new evaluation started on every trading day from June 2019 to October 2026, each run through the rules shown until it passed or failed. Only closed trades count; open-trade drawdown is not modelled, and some firms trail it intraday. Your firm's exact rules will change these numbers.

Slow and steady

Bob is not a fast passer, but once funded, the simulations paid out about $2,200 to $2,600 a year per 150K account after the firm's split, including the accounts that were lost. Payout rules differ between firms, and live results are likely to be lower than any backtest.

Requirements

Questions

Before you buy

Will it pass my evaluation?
No strategy can promise that. In simulations it passed most evaluations, slowly. Live results may be worse.
Which firms allow it?
Rules change often. At the time of writing, some firms allow automation on NinjaTrader and others ban fully automated trading on funded accounts. Confirm with your firm in writing before buying.
Can I run it on several accounts?
One licence covers one NinjaTrader machine. Many firms limit how many accounts you can trade with the same strategy, so check before copying trades across accounts.
Is this financial advice?
No. It is software. You decide whether to run it, where and at what risk.
